What Is Service Pages?
Service Pages is a new website that allows consumers and local service providers to connect online in a much more visual, efficient manner than other sites allow. Service providers create profiles (essentially one-page websites) to market their services using our proprietary software, which can include contact information, text areas, bulleted lists, images, media, videos, google maps, flash, etc. Consumers then search for services in their area using our powerful search engine, viewing these profiles to determine which providers to contact directly. Once they have worked with a service provider, consumers can then leave feedback and provide a star rating to help others in search of services. It's all done by zip code, so you get a customized experience.

What Is a Local Service Provider?
Local service providers include everyone from construction workers and landscapers to veterinarians, lawyers, tutors and real estate agents. While people in these professions have different skills, they all share a desire to offer their services to others in their local communities. If you have a service that you would like to provide to those in your community, regardless of how large or small or even how many hours you can offer, then this website is for you.

How Will Service Pages Help Me as a Local Service Provider?
Service Pages will help you in two very important ways. First, Service Pages will allow you to create a stylish, informative online profile (essentially a one-page website) using simple, proprietary software. As this sample demonstrates, you will be able to include information about yourself or your company, images of prior work, sample rates charged, client testimonials, and anything else that you would like to include. We have spent a lot of effort designing and testing this software to ensure that anyone with basic computer skills can create a great new profile in less than 15 minutes.

Service Pages will also allow you to use this new profile to better market yourself to prospective customers. When you complete a profile, you will automatically be included in the website's powerful search engine, where customers come regularly to look for local service providers in their area. You will also be able use the link to your personal profile (www.servicepagesnetwork.com/username) to market yourself to customers in any manner that you wish. You can include this personal link on your business cards, your craigslist.org postings, or any other marketing materials that you create. By having a stylish profile to direct prospective customers to, you will appear more professional and your business will expand.

How Will Service Pages Help Me Find a Service Provider In My Area?
Service Pages has a powerful search engine that will allow you to search for local service providers in your area based upon terms or categories. Unlike other websites, you will have the opportunity to view each matching provider's personal profile before contacting anyone. This will allow you to read about the service provider, view samples of his or her work, determine the likely cost that will be charged, etc. before deciding who to follow up with. In order to make the process even easier, we have also included Featured Providers and Popular Providers by Category on the homepage. These are great sources to find popular providers who have decided to market their services in your particular zip code

Finally, you will have the opportunity to view comments and star ratings (1-5) for each service provider from other people who have used that provider in the past before making a decision. This will allow you to get some impartial opinions on providers before contacting them, while also helping you determine what questions you would like to ask before contracting with them. And after you have hired a provider in your area, you can then leave feedback yourself.

How Do I Choose a New Area to Search for a Service Provider?
Service Pages allows service providers to include the zip codes where they would like to market their services, which is much more specific than most competing sites. As a prospective customer, your default zip code will be the one that you entered when you signed up for the service. However, you can change that zip code at any time by clicking on Edit next to the existing zip code on the home page and inputting a new zip code. Doing so will bring you to a new homepage for that zip code, where you can also see new Featured Providers and Popular Providers by Category.

How Much Does It Cost to Use Service Pages?
Prospective customers and local service providers can use Service Pages at absolutely no cost. Once you sign up for an account (create a username and password), you will have unlimited access to the powerful search engine and the feedback provided by other users. You will also have unlimited access to the sophisticated profile-creation software to create your own personal profile, which will then be added to the Service Pages search engine. As stated above, you will also receive a personal link to your profile that you can use in other marketing efforts.

How Do I Build a Personalized Profile?
Building your own personalized profile is easy. Once you have created an account and signed in, just click on the Create Profile link in the main navigation menu. You will then have the opportunity to upload information and images to your profile on several easy-to-navigate screens. Input the information that you would like on each screen, and then click on Preview Profile to see how it will display before saving it and moving on to the next screen. One you have included everything you want, you can further customize your profile by rearranging the position of the information and images (by dragging-and-dropping them) as desired. There are hints and instructions along the way that you can click on if you get confused at any point.

How Do I Invite Others to Service Pages?
We would be very grateful if you can invite your friends, family, local service providers, and anyone else to try out Service Pages. The more people we have using the site, the more effective it will be at bringing prospective customers and service providers together. The easiest way to invite others to the website is to click on Invite Friends in the main navigation window. IMPORTANT: Your profile will NOT display in the review listing until you receive your first review, so it is important to invite a friend that has used your service to enter a review for you.

Will Service Pages Ever Share My Information?
Absolutely not. Service Pages will not share any personal information that you provide to us in creating your account or setting up your personal profile. The only information that will be shared is the information that you choose to put in your personal profile or in your feedback. In fact, Service Pages has gone to great lengths to ensure that users cannot steal your information by creating software that masks you email address to prospective consumers when they contact you.
